Future Development
 
    The program of our European Institute is designed to encourage of theory and practice in research and course work. Besides, the Nanhua University has already built strong relations of academic research and cooperation with many European universities, such as, Leipzig University, Hamburg University, Leiden University, etc..The cooperation program includes exchange of students and offering courses for European students. The European Institute has set up European Union Lab, European-American Lab, European-Africa Lab and European-Asia Lab, in order to assist research direction and teaching.
 
    Our alumni have been working in government associations, private office, and national private university, and also can be going on research to obtain the Philosophy Doctor degree.

Development of the Institute
 
   Scheme for Framework
    The research foundation of the Institute is based on Regional Research, which to adopt the research way of socio-science. Both of the theories and practice of the teaching content are important. The Institute was divided into three teams: law-politics, socio-economy, culture and education (not implemented yet) for the graduate, in the future, we are planning to increase an academic for Doctoral Degree.
    We established four research institutes to develop and indicate that the research directions and to help the teaching function:
1.              Institute for European Union;
2.              Institute for Euro-America Union;
3.              Institute for Euro-Africa Union;
4.              Institute for Euro-Asia Union.
 
   Development of the Framework
    In the future, we will establish the “Center of European Science” in Europe. And the main aims are:
1.          to promote the learning communication between the European organizations
and Nan-hwa University;
2.          to promote the teaching functions for all the institutes within Nan-hwa
University;
3.          to promote the research functions for all the institutes within Nan-hwa
University.
   The main function of the Center of European Science is the learning communication activities, and the missions are:  
1.          helping all the institutes of Nan-hwa University to hold international
conference in Europe;
2.          helping and arranging for the professors of Nan-hwa University for the
matters of research and lectures in the universities of Europe;
3.          accepting to process short-term education about the topic of European
languages, culture, politics, economy and society that authorized by all the
institutes of Nan-hwa University;
4.          accepting to process every kind of learned education courses and activities
that authorized by other domestic scientific organizations.
 
   Development of Program
1.        Establishing firmly about the development scale for European Studies by practice teaching.
2.        Processing analysis and editing of all kind of teaching materials.
3.        Processing courses adjustment of learning communication with European universities, EU H.Q. in Brussels, the Subdivision of EU in Strasbourg, Institutes of European Studies in Singapore and USA and the Center of Information of European.
4.        Processing courses adjustment of learning communication with the Institute of Asia-Pacific of Nan-hwa, the Institute of European Studies of Tam-kan University, the First Division of the Institute of International Relations of Chengchi University, the European Information Center of National Science Council, and the Institute of European and America Studies of Academia Sinaca, etc..
 
    Teaching and learning research
1.        Reaching an agreement with EU H.Q. to establish European Information Center.
2.        Publishing the periodical of “International Forum” for announcing academic thesis.
3.        Editing the monthly publication of “European Times” for integrating European politics and economic issues every month, and mailed as reference materials to every research institutes and governmental organizations.
4.        Holding “Forum of European Times” for inviting related scholars to discuss and analyze the current European issues for mass media to transmit to the public.
5.        Holding forum of International Research both in domestic and abroad by stages.
6.        Editing “Series of European Books” to provide the brand new textbooks for domestic universities.
 
   Social services
Establishing the “Center of European Culture and Economy Services” to provide the consulting service for European study and investment. Cooperating with Taipei Offices in Europe and enterprises to hold exhibitions of European Culture, Food, Industry, Art and Tour, as an example to provide a worldwide vision and quality of life for domestic public.
